About
the Author:
Robert Grindy was raised in the Mother Lode country of
Northern California before graduating from California
State University, Chico. Graduate studies at Indiana
University, where he earned an MFA in Fiction, brought
him to the Midwest in the 1980s. He worked as a magazine
editor and taught
at several colleges in Indiana before moving to
Decatur, Illinois, where he has taught writing and
literature at Richland Community College since 1990 and
raised two children with his wife, Rosemarie.
His short stories, essays, articles, and poems
have appeared in
Fish Prize anthologies from Ireland,
Fiction Southeast,
In the Middle of the Middlewest: Literary Nonfiction
from the Heartland, Copper Nickel, Blueline, Illinois
Times, The Saturday Evening Post, and other
publications.
